Direct Debt Line: Support us

DDL is a registered charity providing free advice to people in debt

Direct Debt Line has a track record of success offering cost efficient, telephone-based money advice services for over 12 years. During our association with the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, last financial year we offered advice to more than 5,000 people with more than £5m of debts.

As a charitable and non-profit making organisation oursole purpose is to help people resolve their debt problems. As such we are always looking for sponsors to help us achieve our aims and objectives. You can find out more about the charity by reading our Annual Review.

We are currently developing a specialism by designing sustainable and joined up services that meet the needs of people on the lowest incomes. We believe that money advice should offer access to a broad range of services that promote financial inclusion. As such we have linked up with community finance to provide access to affordable loans and savings facilities and work particularly closely with Registered Social Landlords to target services where they are needed the most.

As a charity we are reliant on grant aid and support from individuals. Over the past two years we have received a grant from the Consumer Credit Counselling Service to help run our core business. We have also received support from EDF Energy Trust to promote the take up of various trust funds available to customers in arrears.
